Denver police are looking for two suspects after dozens of homes and vehicles were vandalized overnight with offensive graffiti in the city’s Washington Virginia Vale neighborhood.
Police report there were up to 36 vehicles vandalized and a number of additional structures and property also affected.
Raquel Lopez, a police spokeswoman, said the vandalism happened in the area of the 700 block of South Hudson Street about 1 a.m. on Tuesday.
Lopez said details on the case were not immediately available but that detectives are at the scene investigating.
Area residents were out cleaning up the damage on Tuesday morning, including a Jewish Star of David spray-painted on a camper vehicle.
The graffiti also included racial slurs, religious symbols, hate speech and other hurtful language. One car was painted with “I support the KKK” and another had “kill Jews” scrawled on it.
