Showers and thunderstorms are expected to dominate the metro area weather for the rest of this week, according to the National Weathers Service.
Daytime temperatures in the metro area are expected to range from the mid-40s to upper-50s in Denver, with a high of 57 degrees on Tuesday.
There is a slight chance for showers between 9 a.m. and noon, followed by a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms through the night.
It will be wet in the mountains too, with snow falling in higher elevations, said Kyle Frieden, NWS meteorologist.
“It’s going to be showery, a mix of sun and mostly clouds. It will continue to snow up in the mountains. It’s kind of what you would expect in April.”
Periodic showers are expected through Thursday, and rain likely on Friday, and showers again on Saturday.
