Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. Thursday for the Dalai Lama’s June 23 v

The Nobel Peace Prize winner will share Tibetan teachings with the public and the CU-Boulder community during two sessions at the Coors Events Center.

His visit is being co-sponsored by the CU-Boulder student government, the CU-Boulder Cultural Events Board and the Tibetan Association of Colorado.

The Tibetan Association will host a morning teaching session called “Eight Verses of Training the Mind” by the Dalai Lama starting at 9:30 a.m. Tickets for that event will cost $35 and $65. The university will host a session called “Educating the Heart and Mind” starting at 1:30, which will be funded by student fees and ticket sales.

CU-Boulder students can reserve two free tickets for the afternoon session on a first-come, first-served basis. The free tickets can be used only by currently enrolled CU-Boulder students with valid Buff OneCards. CU-Boulder faculty and staff tickets cost $25 for the afternoon session. Public tickets for the afternoon session are $35.
