John Elway must read The Denver Post.
Waaaaay back on April 9 (almost three full weeks ago), columnist Mark Kiszla opined that there was a quarterback in the 2016 NFL draft class — a guy who was the spitting image of Brock Osweiler — who the Broncos should take a gamble on.
“Mr. Elway can relax,” Kiszla wrote. ““
That guy was Paxton Lynch. (.)
“If the Broncos want Lynch, they will have to trade up, perhaps as high as No. 15 overall,” Kiszla wrote. “That move wouldn’t come cheap.”
As it was, Lynch slipped to No. 26, and the to the Seahawks, and nab their guy.
Elway said . Kiz gets , but tip the cap, he nailed this one. I guess he’s picked up a thing or two about ol’ No. 7 over the years.
And it’s a good thing Elway listened to our resident self-proclaimed “knucklehead.” Or else 20 years from now, Elway could have received . That is, if Lynch’s career pans out the way Broncos fans hope.
