
Minnesota-based carrier Sun Country Airlines began daily nonstop service Wednesday between Denver and Minneapolis-St. Paul.
“The Mile High City ranks as the top destination for travel from the Twin Cities,” said Denver International Airport CEO Kim Day in a statement. “We are excited to welcome Sun Country to Denver and offer our travelers an ever growing number of airline options.”
The daily flight, , brings Sun Country’s service area to 36 destinations, according to the airline.
The new service also makes Minneapolis-St. Paul the first destination to be served by six airlines from DIA, according to the airport in a news release.
The daily flight departs Minneapolis at 10:20 a.m. and arrives at DIA at 11:25 a.m. The return flight departs DIA at 12:15 p.m. and arrives in Minneapolis at 3:10 p.m. local time.
From Minneapolis, passengers can connect on Sun Country to Boston, Washington, D.C., and New York.
