Re: Toddlers have shot 23 people in the U.S. this year, May 2 news story.

This is yet another article mistakenly blaming the handgun for tragedy. The author s conclusion — Determining cause and effect in these cases … is still a guessing game — is staggering in its stupidity. The cause is bad parenting, that simple. It is not the handgun, an inert object made of plastic and metal that just sits there doing nothing.

Your article on toddlers who shoot themselves and others was both scary and enlightening. Though I am a Second Amendment advocate, this article certainly makes me consider having citizens pass an IQ test before buying a gun — or having children.
