SAN FRANCISCO — Colorado catcher Nick Hundley was a last-minute scratch from the Rockies lineup Thursday night, right before .

Hundley, 32, strained his left oblique muscle while swinging during batting practice, he said. Rookie Tony Wolters played in his place against the Giants.

Rockies Mailbag:

“It’s one of those things I’ll have to check on in the morning,” Hundley said. “I’m trying to put my finger on it.”

Hundley missed 10 games in April with a concussion, but in 13 games this season he’s hitting a slash line of .273/.407/.523 with two home runs and seven RBIs.

After returning last week, he played in six games before Thursday, hitting 7-for-22.

“Hundo felt a little tweak in his oblique,” said Rockies manager Walt Weiss. “We’re going to check him out and see where he’s at.”
