Colorado Springs police have arrested a 28-year-old man in the Sunday afternoon shooting of his 20-year-old fiancée for investigation of attempted murder.
Tywaun Deeds was booked into the El Paso County jail after his fiancée was taken to Memorial Hospital with a bullet wound.
The woman, whose identity has not been released, is being treated for what is considered a non-life-threatening injury, according to a news release by the Colorado Springs Police Department.
Police were called at 12:37 p.m. to a home on the 2100 block of Delta Drive on a report of a woman suffering from a gunshot wound.
The department’s domestic violence and felony assault units are investigating the shooting.
