Denver is set to crack open its first music festival this weekend.

Setting aside whatever righteous feelings you have about a cheap-o beer company descending on Denver, craft beer’s promised land, you can’t argue against the immense amount of talent (local and national) the festival will bring to the seven stages spread across RiNo on May 20 and 21.

The -swilling FIDLAR seems like an obvious match for a branded festival trying to grab some buzzy band cred. But artists like Youth Code, Nuns of Brixton, South of France, DJ MU$A, Dirty Few and Charles Bradley take some savvy — and a sense of risk — to bring together.
