Re: Speed traps in Sheridan have been typical for years, May 15 letter to the editor.
Letter-writer William Orth blames the City of Sheridan for people getting speeding tickets when not driving the speed limit in Sheridan. Apparently they can t read numbers and follow the law, so, of course, it s not their fault for getting speeding tickets when speeding.
The only drivers who have a problem with photo radar are the ones who are speeding and get caught.

This letter was published in the May 22 edition.William Orth s letter about Sheridan could just as easily have been written about the twin speed-trap towns of Mountain View and Lakeside. Apparently fine money is being spent on police SUVs instead of road repairs. The roadway has deteriorated to the point where it resembles a mine field.
