The Avalanche on Tuesday announced the signing of 21-year-old Swedish defenseman Anton Lindholm to a three-year, entry-level contract.
Lindholm, the Avalanche’s fifth-round pick in 2014, played most of the past two seasons plus part of a third with Skelleftea of the Swedish League. In 72 regular-season games, he had no goals and 11 assists. In 45 playoff games, he had two goals and seven assists.
He recently appeared in three games for Sweden in the IIHF World Championships in Russia.
