Police in Fort Collins arrested a 57-year-old man after they caught him walking into a yard while investigating several window-peeping reports.
Several residents of Circle Drive reported suspicious activity on and around their property during the last several months. Security cameras caught the man several times, according to a news release from Fort Collins police.
Fort Collins Police neighborhood enforcement team began extra patrols in the area, and on Wednesday, officers witnessed the man entering a victim’s yard.
When confronted by police, the man ran, but he was captured after a brief foot chase. The man, identified as Steven Christensen, 57, is being held on charges of invasion of privacy for sexual gratification, and attempted invasion of privacy, four counts of criminal trespassing, and resisting arrest.
Additional charges are pending.
Court records show Christensen was arrested and charged last year with burglary, and with a harassment charge for obscene, threatening phone calls. Christensen was given two-year deferred sentences in each of those cases.
