Getting your player ready...

BOULDER — For the past couple of weeks, things have been fairly quiet around the Colorado weight room.

While some players have been in to work out on their own, first-year strength and conditioning coach Drew Wilson has mainly been preparing for the team’s arrival next week for summer workouts.

Wilson is hoping this is the last break he and the Buffs get for a while.

“Pretty much the next time we hope to give them off is after a bowl game in January,” Wilson said.

Hired in January, Wilson and the strength and conditioning staff have already made a mark on the program.

“I’ve been very pleased with Drew, and the kids respond to him and have bonded with him really well,” CU head coach Mike MacIntyre said. “We’ve made good gains. I’m very, very pleased with what Drew is doing.”
