Goodwill invites public to celebrate opening of Castle Rock store

New location off of Founders Parkway to be nonprofit’s 30th store

  will open a retail location in Castle Rock next week and is inviting the public to join in celebrating.

The store, which will include a shopping area and donation center, is Goodwill’s 30th retail location in the state. It is at 355 Barranca Drive,  just south of the Target store on Founders Parkway.

A private ribbon cutting will be held at the store June 2, according to a news release. Shoppers are invited to visit beginning at 8 a.m. June 4 for a day-long grand openinh. There will be snacks and refreshments, as well as kid-focused entertainment including face painting, bean bag toss and music, according to Goodwill. Shoppers may enter a raffle that could land them an iPad mini or other prizes.

Regular store hours will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays. Shoppers can expect to find gently used clothing, household goods and much more at the store, as well as at Goodwill’s many other locations .

Purchases made at Goodwill stores benefit the nonprofit’s career-focused programs for at-risk young people, struggling adults and people with disabilities. Ninety cents on every dollar spent is reinvested in the community, according to Goodwill. To learn more, visit .
