The chance for rain is about 60 percent throughout the day. Rain is likely in the afternoon, with the best chance for a thunderstorm coming after 4 p.m., according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

“There is a potential for small hail,” said Natalie Gusack, NWS meteorologist. “We’ll see scattered rain with brief heavy rain in some locations. We’re not expecting severe weather.”

Winds from the northeast will be from 5 to 11 mph, with gusts up to 17 mph. The high temperature is expected to be about 66 degrees.

On Wednesday, mostly cloudy skies will keep temperatures just below 70 degrees.

Temperatures will start to climb later in the week, with a high of 79 expected Thursday and 82 on Friday, according to the NWS.

“We’re looking at warmer and dryer for the remainder of the week,” Gusack said.

The weekend will be mostly sunny, with temperatures hovering just below 80 degrees.

There is a slight chance for rain Sunday and Monday.
