
, Capitol Hill’s summertime celebration of art, music and community, is back this weekend for its 45th run.
More than 200,000 attendees are expected to descend on Civic Center during the free two-day festival starting Saturday at 10 a.m.. More than 80 bands and performers will rock, roll and dance on four stages, joining more than 80 fine artists displaying their work along 14th Avenue near the Denver Art Museum.
New this year are two boozy entertainments — the Beer Garden, serving up samples of dozens of local brews and games such as corn hole; and Art in the Park, the festival’s take on the, led by local artist Tommy Nahulu. Both are $25 per person.
Family-friendly entertainment will be front and center, as well, including foam sword dueling, bubble wands, musical crafts, carnival rides and face painting.
Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. Entry is free, with tickets for rides, food and beverages available for purchase at multiple locations throughout the fairgrounds.
