
Dozer dashed, owner lashed. Police issued a warning to a dog owner living in the 8900 block of Porcupine Point, Douglas County, after his dog was found in the backyard of a neighboring property May 5. The dog, a tan-and-white American bulldog named Dozer, was said to have approached the owner of the neighboring property and his dog in an aggressive way after wandering off his owner’s land.
Scoffing at all the laws. Police pulled over a driver near the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Jordan Road in Parker on May 26 on suspicion of driving under the influence. They found that the license plates on his car were issued for another vehicle, he had no insurance and was not wearing a seatbelt. He was arrested for DUI and ticketed for the other offenses.
Late-night egg attack. A man heard a loud thud at the back of his house in the 3900 block of Blue Pine Circle, Highlands Ranch, at about 10:15 p.m. May 14. He found an egg had been launched against the back of his home and patio. He saw a suspicious man getting out of a vehicle nearby and asked him what he was doing. The man said he was just accessing the open space and threatened to call the police on the homeowner before getting back in his car and leaving. The homeowner found a second egg had hit his house. He expected to have to repaint his siding and stain his patio. He requested extra patrols in the neighborhood.
Defining drinking and driving. A man pulled over May 29 in the 11000 block of Parker Road, Parker, on suspicion of driving under the influence was found to have an open alcohol container in her car. He was arrested.
Candy crush? Police are working to determine who damaged a vending machine May 24 and stole some of its contents at Legend High School, 22219 Hilltop Road, Parker.
