Re: “,” June 3 letter to the editor.
Letter-writer Jerry Minerich, responding to a Denver Post story about the popularity of Hanging Lake, appears to think places of natural beauty are for his eyes only. In the words of Woody Guthrie: “This land is your land, this land is my land.” Nothing gives me more joy than sharing with others an unforgettable discovery I have made while exploring by car or foot. And I will continue to do so. I might suggest to Jerry to follow my lead and explore off-season, off-hours, etc., when possible. Yes, I also get annoyed with crowds and lack of parking in some popular spots. I will always support all of us enjoying nature’s gifts. But please respect these unique places and leave them as you found them.
