Chatwood’s once unlikely all-star bid is becoming more real by the start. His ERA ranks 14th in the National League, one spot below the Dodgers’ Kenta Maeda (2.70) and one above the Mets’ Jacob DeGrom (2.80) — even though half of Chatwood’s starts have come at Coors Field. If Rockies hitters get dinged by reputation for hitting in Denver, then the opposite should hold and Chatwood should get a boost for pitching there. His 5.30 ERA over six starts at Coors won’t win any awards by itself. But he could use some help, too. The Rockies have scored just 3.2 runs per game in his home starts.
