A bear wandered into a home in Boulder County on Friday night, but got back out before officials arrived.
Jennifer Churchill, a spokeswoman for Colorado Parks and Wildlife, said the homeowners were new to the area and had unknowingly left a kitchen window open Friday evening.
A bear in the area crawled through the window and into the home’s kitchen to eat some food.
The homeowners called for help, but the bear ran away before officials arrived.
Churchill said wildlife officials are setting a trap Saturday morning in case the bear returns to the home hoping to find more food.
