When people move to Boulder County, they often do so without family or friends. The Jewish Community Center, which recently completed construction on a $24 million, 53,000-square-foot building in Boulder, hopes to create connections for those people.
“People are looking for and seeking places of meaning where they can have friends become family,” said Jonathan Lev, executive director.
Lev said the center raised $30 million for the project, a total that includes roughly $24 million for the facility, $3 million in land donated by the Oreg Foundation and $2.5 million for an endowment. More than 800 families, individuals and foundations donated, he said.
