On Sunday, on “Face the Nation,” Donald Trump stated that “we need to look at profiling Muslims.” Trump continues to demand that we ban Muslims from coming into our country.
Our Muslims are not our problem. Since the 2009 Fort Hood shooting by Nidal Hasan, we have had the attacks by the Tsarnaev brothers in Boston two years ago and the California and Orlando attacks this year. During these same five years, we have had innumerable attacks by non-Muslims in schools, businesses, churches, shopping centers, college campuses, airports and homes.
Our problem is the demand by Republicans and the NRA that everyone, including many mentally disturbed people, continue to have easy access to assault weapons.
Guns are a lucrative industry and we are the victims.

Letter-writer Jim Craftap statement “The fact is that in this country most murders (including mass murders) are committed by Christians” shows the general misunderstanding of the term “Christian.”
The term Christian was originally a slur given to the disciples of Jesus Christ who attempted to live his lifestyle. One of Christap teachings was that they were not to murder.
Today, very few “Christians” believe in Christap teachings, such as: Christ claimed that he was the son of God, and like the Father, always existed. Christ also claimed that he was sacrificed on the cross to bear the punishment of the sins of the world because without his perfect sacrifice, all mankind would go to hell or eternal damnation.
So when the statement is made that puts Christians in the category with murderers, one should clarify who they are referring to — the few true believers or the many pseudo “Christians.”
