Driver’s window shatters on road. On June 8, a man called Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies after his front passenger window shattered when he was driving near Colorado 8 and U.S. 285 in the Morrison area. The man said he didn’t hear any popping sound or see anything enter the vehicle — his window just shattered. The officer did not find any foreign objects in or around the car.

Suspicious man looks in window. A woman called deputies on June 9 to report that she saw a suspicious man looking into her window in the 9600 block of West Chatfield Avenue in the Ken-Caryl area. The woman said she heard her dog bark and what sounded like someone turning the doorknob. When she checked the door, she saw a man looking into the window. She screamed and went to call police. The man was gone a few minutes later.

Screws found in tires. On June 10, a woman called deputies to report that screws had been placed in her and her husband’s tires. Deputies responded to the 100 block of Deerwood Drive, Ken-Caryl, and learned the victims’ cars had been in their garage overnight and the only time they were in the same place was the previous evening in a parking lot. They didn’t notice anything suspicious except for a car full of teens. They had no other suspect info.

Car alarm interrupts owner’s shower. A man called deputies after his car alarm went off in the early morning hours of June 11 in the 1000 block of South Pierson Street in the Littleton area. The man said he parked his car and went in to take a shower, but was interrupted when his wife came in to tell him his alarm was going off. The man dressed and went out to investigate but did not see anyone outside. He did see the same car drive by twice, but there was no evidence of an attempted break-in.

Vagrant reported on man’s porch. On June 6, a man called police to report a suspicious man he thought was a vagrant on his porch in the 5000 block of West Hinsdale Place, Columbine (Littleton). The man said the suspect left when told to leave and he lost sight of him. The suspect was later found lying next to a home. He was identified and released.
