A 58-year-old woman was killed in a traffic accident involving three vehicles near the 7800 block of Wadsworth Boulevard on Wednesday afternoon.

At about 3 p.m., Arvada Police were called for an unknown injury accident.

Kathryn Mastropaolo of Westminster was travelling north on Wadsworth in her Ford Focus ZX3 when she was hit by a Toyota Corolla, driven by Wesley Grebe, 82. The collision pushed Mastropaolo’s vehicle into the southbound lanes, where her vehicle collided with a Dodge Challenger driven by Jeff Holt, 64.

A passenger in the vehicle driven by Grebe, Roberta Arnold, 82, sustained serious injury.

Mastropaolo had to be extricated from her vehicle and was transported to Denver Health Medical Center, where she died of her injuries.

The cause of the accident was still under investigation.
