Still holding on to your mail-in ballot? Thursday is the last day you can safely mail your ballot, but the Colorado Clerks Association recommends ballots be dropped off from now on at a ballot box until the last day of voting, June 28.

Dropping off your ballot in person is “really the most expeditious way to get your ballot to us,” said Haley McKean, a spokesperson for Matt Crane, president of the Colorado County Clerks Association.

Even if the ballot is postmarked before the 28th, only the ballots actually received by the clerk’s office by 7 p.m. that day will be counted, she added.

On the 28th, if you are in line to vote by 7 p.m., or if your vehicle is in a ballot drop-off line by 7 p.m., you will have the opportunity to cast your vote. Just don’t be late.
