Third suspect now in custody for triple murder in North Park Hill

All three suspects in the triple homicide in North Park Hill earlier this month are now in custody.

Dejuan Jones, 23, was taken into custody in Tulsa, Okla. on June 20 and is being held without bond on a Denver warrant that formally charged three men in connection with the triple homicide, which Denver police said was the result of .

Jones also appears to face local charges in Tulsa, according to Lynn Kimbrough, communications director for the Denver District Attorney’s Office, and he was due in court Monday for an initial appearance.

The third suspect, Deashaun Turrentine, 24, was taken into custody in Las Vegas, Nev.

All three face two counts of first-degree murder, five counts of attempted first-degree murder and one count of aggravated robbery.

Charges from Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey’s office allege that Evans, Jones and Turrentine came to Denver from Oklahoma to illegally purchase several pounds of marijuana on June 3 and then shot and killed two men and tried to kill five others.

Sean Point, 28, and Devonne Burton, 28, were pronounced dead by the coroner in a rental home in the 3600 block of Hudson St.

A third man — Derrius Woods, 27, “an associate of the defendants,” according to the indictment — died at Children’s Hospital in Aurora after being dropped off by a private party.
