
Raging and running. on June 19, someone in a black truck was following a man in a car too closely, so the man in the car slowed down. The two drivers then got out of their vehicles in the area of South Tower Road and East Iliff Avenue. The truck driver grabbed a baseball bat from the backseat and got in the other man’s face before suddenly leaving. There was no suspect information.
Sticks and stones. A man walked up to a woman fueling her car June 19 at Alta Convenienc, 13694 E. Iliff Ave., and asked her for some spare change. The woman said she didn’t have any money, and the man said, “God bless you.” The woman responded that she’s blessed because she has two jobs and doesn’t ask for money. As she was driving away, the man started throwing rocks at her car. He ran away when she called police.
Shoplifting spree. Store security at Target, 7400 S. Gartrell Road, on June 18 caught a woman trying to steal about $250 worth of clothes and electronics by hiding the merchandise in a shopping bag and attempting to leave the store without paying. She was arrested.
Attempted break-in. After returning to his home in the 1100 block of South Racine Way on June 16, a man saw that someone had tried to pry open his front door. There were scratch marks all around the handle and lock, but no one was able to get in.
Taillight tampering. A man who lives in the 800 block of South Chambers Road came home June 12 and saw that someone took his taillight from his car. There are no suspects.
