
Creepy kids in Lowe’s. A woman was shopping at Lowe’s,1360 New Beale St., Castle Rock, on June 10 when she noticed three teenage boys following her around the store. The boys eventually began throwing small rocks in her direction, unsettling her greatly. Staff chased off the teens and escorted the woman to her car. Police did not find the teens in the area.
Bye, bye bike. A motorcycle was stolen from an undisclosed block of Cottonwood Drive in Parker on June 13. The case has been deactivated for a lack of suspect information.
Woman not duped by IRS scammers. A woman living in the 5300 block of East Courtney Avenue, Castle Rock, reported June 16 that she had been receiving numerous phone calls from men claiming to be with the IRS and threatening to have her arrested if she did not send them money. In every instance, she asked for their location and credentials or to speak to a supervisor and they always hung up.
Money troubles. A woman living in the 11300 block of South Lost Creek Circle, Parker, reported June 18 thatfraudulent were charges made to her bank account and a fraudulent credit card had apparently been established in her name. The case remains open.
Lots of breaking, no entering. A woman living in the 2200 block of Castlegate Drive North, Castle Rock, reported June 5 that someone tried to enter her ground-floor apartment through a window. The screen had been removed, a window lock had been knocked off and curtain rod used as a wedge had been bent and removed. It did not appear the suspect entered the residence, however, and nothing was missing.
