
It’s expected to be another hot day in the Denver metro area Tuesday, but afternoon clouds and rain showers could help somewhat cool things off.
The high temperature will be around 90 degrees and there is a 20 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms in the afternoon.
The low Tuesday night will be about 60 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. There is a chance for evening rain and thunderstorms before 8 p.m.
Rain isn’t part of the forecast through the rest of the week, according to the NWS.
“We’ll have a dry period. This looks right on track for early July,” said Mike Baker, meteorologist for the NWS.
It will be mostly sunny, dry and hot on Wednesday, with a high temperature of around 93 degrees.
Temperatures will drop slightly on Thursday and Friday, with highs expected to be 89 and 88 degrees respectively. Winds could gust Thursday night up to around 15 mph.
It will be mostly sunny and hotter on the weekend, with a high of about 92 on Saturday and 93 on Sunday, according to the NWS.
