Colorado Springs police on Thursday released the identity of a 57-year-old man found fatally injured on Friday by officers responding to a 911 hang-up call.
Sergio Bugueb Maquiavelli had traumatic injuries when he was discovered on the 3400 block of East Platte Avenue. The El Paso County Coroner’s Office said it’s ruling on his case and the manner of death is pending further investigation.
Investigators said they were initially called from the Capri Motel before finding Maquiavelli, who was taken to Memorial Hospital and later pronounced dead.
Police say Normalee Negron, 24, is a person of interest in the case. that she has been arrested but is being held on unrelated, outstanding warrants.
