Re: “,” July 6 news story.
Fact is, Hillary Clinton sent high-security messages over her private e-mail account. The fact that most messages had not yet been designated as to classification does not excuse the action. As secretary of state, she knew which messages were sensitive and which were not. This further proves the devious character of Clinton.
As to why she opted for the private e-mail server? I believe it goes to the acrimony and distrust she had for the Republican Party. Had she used government-provided e-mail, Republicans would have had access to all that information, which they would have used to wreak more havoc for President Obama, the Democratic Party, Clinton and, in fact, the nation. This in no way excuses Clinton, but the Republican Party shares some of the responsibility for the breach of security and ethics. That said, she should be prosecuted.

Letap see, what have we in the way of presidential choices? We have, on the one hand, an abusive, illiterate boor who, on a daily basis, reveals ever more horrifying depths of ignorance and nonchalance, not to mention business failures that have negatively affected the people hired to work for him. Then we have a literate, educated woman who has given her life to public service, from children’s welfare issues to the Senate and State Department. Yes, she’s made an error. Yes, she’s apologized. If one follows this story closely, one learns that, sometimes, classified mail isn’t always marked correctly. Probably more than one person has participated in this particular breach. Have we not had enough of this “scandal”? America, wake up and get over it!
Enough of the Republican-driven pillory of Hillary, and of the “Crooked Clintons” who, between them, though imperfect they may be, have given much to the world, as well as the nation.
If we don’t straighten out our priorities, we’ll have the proverbial 800-pound gorilla in the Oval Office, and only ourselves to blame.
