A 32-year-old Woodland Park man died Saturday near Cripple Creek when the Jeep Wrangler he was driving skidded off Teller County Road 82, according to the State Patrol.
The accident happened at about 9 p.m., when the 1995 Wrangler was driving west, Trooper Tim Sutherland said Sunday.
“The driver lost control and began to skid off the roadway,” he said. The Jeep rolled and struck a tree.
The driver, who isn’t being identified until his relatives have been notified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Neither alcohol nor speed are suspected.
