Police in Pueblo say a man suspected in a shooting earlier this month jumped from a third-story window Tuesday, breaking both ankles, when officers closed in as part of their investigation.
Adrian Roybal, 36, is being held on suspicion of first-degree assault in the July 16 shooting of a 20-year-old man who was wounded in his back.

Authorities said Friday the events leading to the shooting began as a neighbor dispute and involved street gang members.
Police say investigators probing the shooting were speaking with a woman at an apartment when Roybal jumped out a window. He was initially arrested on two outstanding warrants and taken to a hospital for treatment before officials linked him to the July 16 shooting.
