Re: July 19 lifestyle story.

My elderly mother gave up driving several years ago and we struggled to find ways for her to go places and maintain her independence. Several months ago I started getting rides for her from Uber and it has worked very well. She doesn’t need to carry money to pay the drivers and has never waited more than a few minutes to get picked up. She has enjoyed visiting with all the drivers from such varied backgrounds and they have all been helpful and courteous to her. I would like to convey my thanks to all the drivers who have been so kind to her, and thought I would mention this for others looking for a way to help elderly parents get around without driving.
