This deal is definitely poppin’ for movie lovers. AMC Theatres is celebrating the launch of its new loyalty program, AMC Stubs Insider, by giving away free popcorn. On July 31, all members, existing and new, can receive one free large popcorn at participating locations. Not a member? Just sign up at the box office — it’s now free to join. AMC Theatres expects to pop about 50 tons of popcorn to give away nationally. There are still plenty of summer blockbusters on the big screen, so now’s the perfect time for bargain hunters to go to the movies.

Baskin-Robbins is ending National Ice Cream Month on a sweet note. On July 31, enjoy any scoop of ice cream (cup or cone) for $1.31 (regularly $2.99) at participating locations. Waffle cones and toppings are extra. This is the last chance to lick the Flavor of the Month, OREO Birthday Cake. Itap chocolate cake-flavored ice cream loaded with Birthday Cake OREO cookie pieces, frosting bits and a candy confetti ribbon swirling. Thrive360 Eatery rolls out its first Denver location in festive style at 1001 17th St. The fun kicks off when the doors open at 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 3, as the first 360 people can purchase any entrée for just $3.60. The new eatery boasts two custom “Blender Bikes” that allow riders to blend smoothies by pedaling. Throughout the week, customers can hop on a “Blender Bike” and participate in competitions for a chance to win prizes. The new restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch and snacks Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
My fair lady
Dating back to 1888, the Adams County Fair (9755 Henderson Road, Brighton) is now the largest county fair in Colorado. The fair fun runs Aug. 3 to 7. Entry to the fairgrounds and most of the jam-packed schedule is free, but the rodeos, truck pull and demolition derby are ticketed events, as are the carnival rides. Aug. 5 is designated 9NEWS Kids Day, featuring an all-new free Kids Zone with ziplines, a ropes course, bungee jump, bounce houses and more. New this year, there is free off-site parking with complimentary shuttle service.
