Larimer County Sheriff deputies apprehended a suspect in a car theft and found the BMW early Thursday after a high-speed chase of up to 130 mph into Weld County.

Shane Brice Moeller, 33, of Fort Collins, was arrested and booked into the Larimer County Jail on burglary, motor vehicle theft, vehicular eluding and other allegations.

A deputy attempted a traffic stop of a silver 2006 BMW 750 sedan that matched the description of a stolen vehicle about 2:04 a.m. Thursday at North Denver Ave. and East Eisenhower Boulevard in Loveland.

The suspect did not stop, and deputies pursued as the vehicle headed eastbound on U.S. 34 across Interstate 25 and then northbound on Weld County Road 17 in Windsor, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office on the case.

Deputies stopped pursuing the vehicle in the area of Eastman Park Drive and 3rd Street in Windsor. A search located the BMW near Garden and Canyon drives, but the suspect had fled on foot, according to the statement. Around 3 a.m., the suspect was located and taken into custody without incident.

Moeller is a suspect in another stolen vehicle case in Loveland.
