Temperatures to remain in the 90s in the Denver metro area Tuesday

Cooler towards the end of the week

Under mostly clear skies Tuesday the high temperature is expected to hit 93 degrees in Denver.

There is a 10 percent chance for rain and thunderstorms after 3 p.m., according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

Temperatures will gradually decrease through the rest of the week, with thunder and rain possible each afternoon.

The high on Wednesday will be around 91 degrees. There is a 20 percent chance of rain in the evening.

On Thursday, the high will be near 87 and there is a 20 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms in the afternoon.

The chance for rain increases Friday to 30 percent. Most of the rain will come in the afternoon.

Temperatures will take a sharp drop to a high of 80 on Friday and 78 on Saturday. The chance for rain decreases on Saturday.

It is expected to be mostly clear and warmer on Sunday, with a high of 84 degrees. By Monday, it will be sunny and back to a high of 87 degrees.
