Re: Aug. 16 news story.
I’m shocked that Sen. Cory Gardner has come out to endorse Donald Trump for president. I thought Gardner had more integrity than that. Trump’s positions on everything — his economic policies that support the 1 percent; his discrimination toward minorities, women and the disabled; and religious freedom — along with his total lack of understanding of global politics and his deep financial ties with Russia make him unqualified to be our president. These aren’t the values that I see from the people of Colorado and I didn’t think these were Gardner’s values either.
Sen. Gardner, you went to Washington with a vision of change and now you’re just another politician from Washington.

I guess Sen. Cory Gardner has no issues with a presidential candidate who ridicules the disabled, spouts racist and religiously intolerant remarks about other ethnic groups, denigrates women, and takes on a family who lost a son in the war in Iraq. Endorsing Trump calls in to question Gardner’s own moral and ethical standards. What a political coward! He has lost my independent vote in 2020.
