
In 26 minutes, all the tickets for kick-off breakfast were gone. Of course, the week-long event that starts Sept. 12, is free.

Denver Startup Week brings together area (and out-of-the area) entrepreneurs, CEOs, recruiters, job seekers and entrepreneurs wannabes. And so far, 4,000 people have registered with 11 days left to go. Organizers are hoping to top last year’s attendance of 10,875 people who registered for 235 events last year.
This grassroots event, now in its fifth year, is very much a response to the community. Anyone from the community can submit a session or event idea and 944 were tossed in the ring. Of those, about 200 got the OK and are now on the schedule, including some intriguing ones like “,” held at Craftsy; “,” led by Drew Domoto of Domoto Brands; and “Artist as Entrepreneur featuring Meow Wolf,” focusing on digital artists. And that’s just day one.
The parties will be big. Arrow Electronics is sponsoring the . The fourth annual “on Wednesday is promoted as the “biggest, baddest, booziest party,” and features The Nuns of Brixton, a Clash cover band that dresses like nuns.
But there will be plenty of serious sessions too, including at least one , splitting up and .
