The Denver Medical Examiner has identified a man who was on Sunday.
Gerald Hammons, 38, was taken by ambulance to Denver Health Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
An autopsy determined the cause of death was gunshot wounds.
Denver police are investigating the incident, which took place at about 4:50 a.m.
The shooting followed an altercation between at least “two individuals,” said John White, police spokesman.
No one is in custody, and police haven’t released information on a suspect.
