Whether or not 2016 is remembered as the beginning of the end for a second stand-up boom, Denver’s comedy exports continue to impress on a national level. T.J. Miller returns to film his first HBO special at the Paramount Theatre at 7 and 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 16, wrapping up his “Meticulously Ridiculous” tour. Tickets: $19.50-$39.50 via altitudetickets.com.

Also Sept. 16: Denver trio The Grawlix, consisting of Adam Cayton-Holland, Andrew Orvedahl and Ben Roy, will herald the Oct. 6 premiere of Season 2 of their truTV sitcom “Those Who Can’t” with a show at Comedy Works on Larimer Square — one of the venues where they got their start, and in celebration of Comedy Works’ 35th anniversary, 7:30 and 9:45 p.m. $25. .
