If you crave the thrill of singing to a roomful of strangers without the hassle of a music career, Denver .

But if you prefer an intimate karaoke experience — one where strangers can’t collect YouTube ad revenue off of your all-too-personal rendition of — options are scarce.

At least they used to be. This weekend, Voicebox will open its first karaoke lounge outside of Portland in Denver’s RiNo neighborhood. The company has signed a five year lease with an option of an additional five years at the corner of 2601 Walnut Street, which shares space with the likes of Park Burger and Osaka Ramen.
