Authorities in Colorado Springs have identified the 36-year-old man .
Phillip Cyprian III died of a gunshot wound and his manner of death has been ruled a homicide. He was found dead on the 6600 block of North Union Boulevard early Saturday by officers responding to reports of shots fired.
Police say Cyprian’s death marks the 16th homicide in Colorado Springs this year. Investigators have not released details in the case or announced if they have identified a suspect.
