Loveland Pass closed Tuesday morning after a tractor-trailer hauling beer crashed and rolled over just west of Arapahoe Basin, causing two other vehicles to wreck.

Trooper Nate Reid, of the Colorado State Patrol, says the drivers of all three vehicles were taken to a hospital, one with serious injuries.

Reid said the crash happened just before 8 a.m. when the truck crashed near a runaway truck ramp on the Summit County side, rolling over. The impact sent the trailer into Loveland Pass’s westbound lanes where the two other vehicles crashed.

Loveland Pass is closed to all vehicles. Authorities initially hoped to have the route reopened by 5 p.m., but later said it will be closer to 6:30 p.m.
