Suspect in fatal Denver hit-and-run has possibly fled the United States

Denver police say a man suspected in near the Denver Country Club might have fled the country.

Armando Rafael Olaciregui, 37, is wanted on suspicion of vehicular homicide and felony hit-and-run involving death at the intersection of  East 1st Avenue and North Gilpin Street.

Drew Dietrich, 27, was pronounced dead on the scene, and an autopsy determined the cause of death was from blunt-force injuries. Police say he was biking when he was struck.

Police say Olaciregui was living in Denver when the collision occurred, but his whereabouts are now unknown. Investigators did not say where they believe Olaciregui has fled.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can remain anonymous and are eligible for a reward up to $2,000.
