Re: Sept. 23 letter to the editor.

It is interesting that airport noise is typically attributed to living in close proximity to an airport. This in fact is not the case if you are a resident of central Aurora. We are still impacted by Centennial Airport and Denver International Airport. I’m 9 miles from Centennial and 15 miles from DIA as the crow flies — hardly next door.  What has happened is the amount of  air traffic and the traffic patterns have changed and now we enjoy having Centennial traffic landing south or departing north over the Expo Park area and depending on the weather, DIA traffic throughout the day.  We also enjoy medical helicopter flyovers, sometimes at 5 a.m., and no, they are not all on a medical flight.  Unfortunately, with the ever-increasing air traffic, these types of problems will only get worse.
