
Police are investigating a shooting on East Colfax Avenue that happened early Saturday morning and left one person dead and another with a “non-life threatening injury,” according to the Denver Police Department.
The suspect is still at large.
Denver police received a call at around 2 a.m., reporting a shooting near the 7-Eleven on East Colfax Avenue. said Doug Schepman, a public information officer for the Denver Police Department. When officers arrived on the scene, they found two men on the ground, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Schepman explained that one suspect was responsible for both shootings, and the incident was brought on by a “disturbance,” which he denied to clarify further. Investigators cordoned off the 500 block of East Colfax between Pearl and Pennsylvania streets on Saturday morning.
