Re: Oct. 5 endorsement.
I must disagree with the endorsement of Scott Tipton. He doesn’t deserve the endorsement of our state’s newspaper. Tipton represents the laziest and most disruptive Republican Congress we have had in decades. His loyalty and judgment is to the Republican Party’s interests over the needs of his district’s citizens. His abandonment of his constituents and the nation has shut down our national government once and almost twice. His loyalty is to corporate interests ahead of party interests. His actions in Congress are not worthy of re-election.
Denver Post, you have a duty to our state to change the do-nothing congressional culture. Do not perpetuate such shameful representation.
Bert Ornelas, Lakewood
Itap very disturbing to have The Denver Post endorse Scott Tipton. Since Tipton has been in office, tens of thousands of people have been killed by guns. Yet Tipton rejects any kind of gun control measures and has done absolutely nothing to decrease the number of people killed each year. Even worse he undermines the efforts of those who do want to make a difference. Also, Tipton rejects overwhelming scientific evidence of the role humans play in climate change and demonstrates absolutely no concern for the well being of future generations. It is disappointing to have The Post support a man like Tipton.
