Hillary Clinton to campaign in Pueblo on Wednesday as Colorado GOP lawmakers divide over Trump support

WASHINGTON — Hillary Clinton is planning to return to Colorado on Wednesday to make a pitch to voters before state officials start sending mail-in ballots to residents .

The stop in Pueblo — which will include voter registration — is the first time Clinton has visited Colorado in two months; her last trip to the state was Aug. 3 and it included a stop at the , a Denver clothier, and a .

Polls in Colorado have fluctuated wildly since that campaign swing.

At the time, she was riding a wave of support following the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia and a string of surveys in July and August showed her with a double-digit lead over Republican nominee Donald Trump.

That advantage in mid-September, but it since has rebounded in two late September polls, according to RealClearPolitics.

Itap not yet known how Colorado voters have reacted to the release of a 2005 video that shows Trump making lewd comments about women — or its aftermath.

Three Colorado Republicans, U.S. Sen. Cory Gardner, U.S. Rep. Mike Coffman and Senate candidate Darryl Glenn, all this weekend following its publication.

U.S. Reps. Doug Lamborn, R-Colorado Springs, and Scott Tipton, R-Cortez, both have condemned Trump’s remarks but said they still are supporting him. U.S. Rep. Ken Buck, R-Windsor, has not responded to requests seeking his position.
