In Sunday night¶¶Òõap debate, Donald Trump explained his sexual boasting of 11 years ago as being “just words.†That means, if we now take him at his word, none of that ever happened. Of course, it also means that he was lying 11 years ago, an odd admission coming from such a stickler for alwaysÌıtelling the truth.
What other things has Trump said that perhaps are “just words?†For starters, his many years of preaching “birtherism.†And could perhapsÌımost of his campaign rhetoric be “just words,” since he has very little of substance to offer us?
Throughout the primaries and now in the general election, his strategy has been quite simple: continuously tarnish his opponents so no one will notice the smoke and mirrors of his own candidacy. Just words or just lies?

Donald Trump showed us who he really is in the second ugly, dark, depressing presidential debate. On the attack for having been embarrassed by the video showing him bragging about his sexual predatory opportunities, Trump decided that the way to look presidential was to trot out the supposed cartel of Bill Clinton sexual assault accusers (one of whom has changed her story under oath) under the pretense that he might look better to voters if Bill Clinton looked worse. This looked like a Kim Jong-unÌıphoto op with the crazy North Korean holding hostages who could only offer praise for their leader. Trump is a pariah, a liar, abuses the women around him and is the leader of his party. One wonders how the Republican Party recovers from this.

I appreciate Donald Trump bringing up the question that is on most Americans’ minds:ÌıWhy would Hillary Clinton stay married to a man who is a serial philanderer?Ìı Why would she actively participate in discrediting all of the women who have stepped up to tell their stories of Bill Clinton’s love life with them?Ìı Why would she allow her family to be scorched by Bill playing around with Monica Lewinsky in the White House and then lying to her and the American people that he did no such thing?Ìı She knows that Bill has had multiple relationships with other women since they were married and yet she wants to discredit TrumpÌıbecause of locker-room banter.

Donald Trump’s tour bus banter and an unwillingness to admit a depraved conception of women is reprehensible, yet this had largely been vetted by journalists ahead of the second presidential debate. ÌıTrump’s aggressive and detailed pledge to “jail” Hillary Clinton is far and away the darkest statement made during the evening’s debate.Ìı To make this threat in the most public context possible slashes at a fundamental principle of all democracies and is an eye-popping diktat against America’s foundation. ÌıPolitical repression of individuals, minorities, the press, the judiciary is a constant theme of Trump, but menacing your political opponent for our highest office with jail should be the morning-after headline.

Colorado GOP legislators —ÌıstateÌıand federal —Ìıstep up to the plate and support Donald Trump. Yes, he is a jerk sometimes, but congenital liar Hillary Clinton would be an absolute disaster for the country. If you watched the last debate when she tried to answer the question about the Supreme Court, you may have noticed she did not even mention the Constitution. That is becauseÌıshe wants liberal justices whoÌıwill legislate from the bench rather than use the Constitution as the basisÌıfor doing their jobs. She is a ruinous choice for presidentÌıbecause she will ruin the Supreme CourtÌıfor generations to come.
